EN – Although having heard of it, Camden Town was never on my ‘to visit next time in London’ list. Shame on me. As an appreciator of street style, street markets and street food I was utterly missing out.
My good friend @jeunelejeune and I hadn’t seen each other since Florence and by the time he knew he was coming to London, we’ve been looking forward to our well delayed rendez-vous. As someone who is a little familiar with London I was having a hard time deciding which places I could introduce him to. Yet, by the time we were supposed to meet, Juny was already in Camden Town and I was ought to meet him there – great opportunity to see if the place lived up to the hype.
Leaving the station I was surprised by the high flux of people on the area. The excitement from the realization of being somewhere super cool started to kick in. I made my way to the Camden Market walking through loads of stylish people. I kept looking at their outfits wishing I could Shazam them lol.
The market itself is beautiful – interesting and full of quirky shops. One can easily find the unusual in these markets. The river and the bridges add a beautiful touch to the scenario and since it was a sunny day the whole atmosphere was a blessing!
Safe to say that I now cannot wait to go to Camden Town again. I need to absorb all the street style, take my time in each of the vintage shops and eat as many different things I can.
So many different and mouth-watering options! Oh myyyyy.
From Camden to Notting Hill
I new that Juny had to at least ‘see’ Notting Hill. I wanted him to fall in love with the area just like I did back in January. Guess what? It worked! He was in ‘awe’ while we walked through the area – mission accomplished. London is in absolute bloom! Spring is for sure an amazing season to visit the city.
This is basically the round-up of the 7h I had with my bestie. After that I took a bus back to my city and he would fly back to Florence the next day.
Long-distance friendship. Do you have any? When was the last time you met and what did you do?
Thank you for reading!
