Seems like the 5 days of Brit Summer are finally here! I recently came across the saying ”26 degrees in the UK is not like 26 degrees abroad.” – and I have to co-sign here because things can get pretty sticky when the temperature rises. I have been boiling in my room for the past days and it’s not a pleasant feeling. Although I come from Mozambique, where the temperatures usually reach more than 40 degrees Celsius, it’s safe to say that I’ve lost some of my inborn tolerance for heat. With that said, I kinda-sorta miss the cold Spring days…shame I know. I just miss not having to sweat, that’s it really. Funny thing is that my biggest desire throughout winter was to be able to wear shorts and a tank top again. Here we are and guess who wants to wear jackets again? Exactly. We always want what we can’t have and once we have it…yeah. Alas, I am super happy with the arrival of Summer. Waking up on a sunny day is uplifting and so is seeing human beings enjoying life outside their heated homes! It’s a beautiful season indeed.
When I shot the video below, it was quite a hot day in London and ‘my oh my’ I couldn’t have chosen a better item to wear and to video-shoot. This long t-shirt dress is light, loose therefore super comfortable for a hot day! I am super glad I added it to my summer wardrobe and since it is a timeless piece I will get a lot of wear out of it in hot climates. It is a pain in the ass to iron it so I tend to hang it on the wardrobe rod haha. Besides being super comfortable, this long t-shirt dress is also very versatile and can be paired/adjusted in many ways. In the video I shared 3 ways to style this dress.
How are you guys enjoying the Summer? Anyone else missing lower temperatures or is it just the ungrateful me? Haha. Let me know!
